drives into business Passion for classic cars now Internet success
they say you should never mix business with pleasure, but one Shropshire
              man
has turned a hobby into a thriving internet business. Matt Footner bought his
first classic car, a Porsche 912, five years ago, and has
been scouring markets and conventions ever since for new models and parts.
Frustrated at having no specialists to help him indulge his passion, he set
up a new website last month to provide a portal for classic car fans around
the world. Nearly one month on, the website, classiccarseller.co.uk, has almost
  100 classics for sale
and now features an insurance section for an instant quote. Mr Footner said
    today: "I've
got a couple of classic cars and felt there was a market out there for people who are passionate about classic cars. All
I could do was traipse around auctions. I thought I may as well put
people in touch with each other through a website." The site, which
enables people to sell their cars for only £35, also includes a growing ‘cars
Wanted' section, Mr Footner added: "I bought my first classic car five
    years ago, a Porsche
    912. It's only ever been a sideline, now I've turned it into a business.
    We've also got a Lancaster
insurance company involved. They said they are ‘excited about getting involved
with all new projects specific to Classic and vintage cars, and felt www.classiccarseller.co.uk
    hit the right mark'.
